Averitt Express has been honored by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with its 2005 Truckload Carrier of the Year award. The award — honoring Cookeville, Tenn.-based Averitt for its exceptional service — was issued as part of R.J. Reynolds’ Quality Partnership Program.
The program evaluates the company’s freight transportation carriers based on criteria such as on-time service, claims prevention, claims resolution and on-time activity reporting. Carriers receiving 98 points out of a possible 100 are eligible to receive the award.
