Forward Air Corp. has joined the American Trucking Associations to work more closely with its industry counterparts in advancing the interests of trucking. Forward Air, headquartered in Greenville, Tenn., is a provider of time-definite surface transportation and related logistics services to the North American deferred air freight market – providing scheduled surface transportation of cargo.

The company operates 81 terminals located on or near airport terminals in the United States and Canada with a central sorting facility in Columbus, Ohio. Forward Air also offers a range of logistics services, including exclusive-use (truck brokerage) vehicles, dedicated fleets, warehousing, customs brokerage, and shipment consolidation and handling.

“Forward Air has an important role to play in advancing the interests of ATA motor carriers and allied members in meeting challenges facing the trucking industry and the industries that support it,” says Bill Graves, ATA president and chief executive officer.
