Transport America has announced its July 2006 Drivers of the Month, who were recognized for their outstanding service to the Eagan, Minn.-based carrier and its customers during the month.
Company drivers are Gordon Hutton, with Transport America for seven months; Todd Carson, a professional driver instructor, with Transport America for one year; and Donald Wilson, a volunteer for the MS150 Bike Tour (an annual charity event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society), with Transport America for 11 years.
Professional contractors are Emmanuel Agbale, a professional driver instructor active on numerous boards, and a previous Driver of the Month, Driver of the Year and Million Mile Safety Award recipient, with Transport America for 1 1/2 years; Leonard Litzau, recipient of numerous safety awards, including an award for Two Million Miles Accident Free, with Transport America for 21 years; and Peggy and Ronald Shrout (Ronald is also a Million Mile Safety Award recipient), with Transport America for 17 years.
The selection criteria for Driver of the Month includes on-time customer service, safety and working percentage. Each driver will receive their award in a formal presentation at Transport America headquarters.
