One year after winning the use of a new Freightliner truck, Clyde Williams, a driver for FFE Transportation Services, celebrated National Truck Driver Appreciation Week by taking permanent ownership of his rig.

On Aug. 29, 2005, Williams was announced as the winner of the FFE Great Truck Giveaway as part of last year’s driver appreciation week celebration. Last month, after Williams had driven accident-free for one year, FFE officially handed him the title to the truck.

Williams was able to spec the truck to his own wishes, so it came complete with leather seats, a wood-grain steering wheel and chrome wheels. He said he plans to continue working for FFE for another 20 years and then retire.
