Rite-Hite Aftermarket Corp. says its GuardRite Sure-Stop Barrier System is designed to be strong enough to stop a fork truck. The 8-inch high barrier is constructed from 3/16-inch formed cold rolled steel, and is reinforced with 7-inch-wide by 3/8-inch full-height gussets for strength and durability, according to the company; when anchored to a concrete floor, the Sure-Stop can stop a 10,000-pound fork truck with little or no deflection.

The safety-yellow painted barrier system is available in 18-, 24-, 36-, 48- or 60-inch lengths. Integral steel gussets help provide support to help stop powered material handling equipment, while anchoring hardware helps facilitate easy installation. The barrier system’s modular design helps makes it easy to adapt to many configurations; it can be used as a standalone barrier to protect building walls, or it can be incorporated with other systems to create a highly visible barrier.
