Priority Transportation says its most recent trailer order placed with Stoughton Trailers included the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) by PSI. Priority began equipping trailers with MTIS in 2004, currently operating 900 dry vans with the system, and the company says the consistent, correct tire pressure maintained with the use of MTIS has improved tire wear.

“Priority Transportation utilizes MTIS to maximize tire life and performance on trailers, which helps us continue to serve our customers as efficiently as possible,” says Jeremy Ayres, director of maintenance for San Antonio-based Priority Transportation.

MTIS is designed to be installed easily on any type of trailer, including van, liquid tank, logger, flatbed, chassis, livestock, platform, drop frame, dump, deep drop, doubles, dry bulk, reefer, auto transporter and military.
