ALK Technologies has announced that Dan Popkin and Michael Kornhauser have been appointed to the company’s senior management team as vice president, sales director-Europe and vice president, managing director-Europe, respectively.
The company says the appointments recognize the pair’s success in establishing ALK’s mobile navigation business in Europe, and will further strengthen the company’s expansion into the consumer, OEM and professional solutions markets globally. ALK says the market for ALK’s CoPilot Live mobile GPS navigation software is experiencing massive growth in Europe, creating significant opportunity for the company.
Popkin and Kornhauser established ALK’s European operations, ALK Technologies Ltd., in 2003 and have developed commercial relationships with partners across Europe, including T-Mobile, Scania, Motorola, BMW and ACER. They also have built a team of marketing, business development and support professionals in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Taiwan to support the company’s expansion.
