Artemus Collins, a Central Hauling company driver from Amite, La., recently won an FLD Freightliner truck for recruiting the highest number of new drivers to either Central Hauling or its sister company, CalArk International, between April and September of 2006. Tom Bartholomew, owner of both Mabelvale, Ark.-based Central Hauling and CalArk, presented Collins with the keys to the truck.
Central Hauling and CalArk have a program in which the driver who recruits the most hired drivers to either company in a six-month time period is awarded a truck. This is the fourth truck Collins has won since he leased on with Central Hauling in April 2004.
The next driver referral truck giveaway program runs from October 2006 until March 2007. In addition to awarding a truck to the grand-prize winner, Central Hauling and CalArk awards a $500 referral bonus to every driver who refers a driver who is hired.
