Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems has established a new business unit for pneumatic, mechanical and electronic controls, with products that include the Tiremaax automatic tire inflation system. Hendrickson says the new venture will help it maintain a leadership position in the advancement of trailer technology through state-of-the-art controls systems.

“Based near Hendrickson trailer in Canton and headed by Matt Wilson, controls business unit manager, the enterprise provides a greater focus for our line of control products,” says Perry Bahr, general manager of Canton, Ohio-based Hendrickson Trailer Suspension Systems.

“In addition to Tiremaax, the unit manages products including a full line of trailer height control valves, lift axle controls, dump valves and many other suspension control systems,” Wilson says. “Because of its nimble size, the new business unit will be able to better react to customer requirements. Control products represent a very important part of ensuring optimum trailer operation, and this venture will help lead Hendrickson in continuing to provide the best trailer suspension systems in the industry.”

Wilson joined Hendrickson in 2005 as a program manager in the marketing group. Bringing more than 10 years of experience in the heavy trucking industry, he formerly managed the vocational product line for Sterling Truck Corp.
