TLC wants truckers for reality show on manners

Truck drivers interested in brushing up on their etiquette will have the chance to audition for “Mind Your Manners,” a new show airing on TLC next year.

Etiquette experts work with guests on the show to help them learn how to properly deal with formal situations like business meetings, weddings or even meeting in-laws. City Lights Television is looking for truck drivers to participate on camera. “Mind Your Manners” is meant to educate and entertain, not to humiliate, City Lights casting director Sean Disimone said.

“We want to work with truckers, but not in a negative way, like we are trying to make fun,” Disimone said. “These people spend so much time alone in a vehicle, they are interested in learning other things outside the truck.”

TLC features other “makeover shows,” including “What Not to Wear” and “Flip that House.” For more information on how to appear on an episode of “Mind Your Manners,” e-mail [email protected]; include unique information about yourself and why you think you or someone you know could benefit from etiquette coaching.
