Karmak announced Thursday, April 26, that it has released Legend Access, which is Certified for Windows Vista. Legend Access is designed to allow users to connect to and run applications on their Karmak Legend business system from a Windows-based PC. It offers simple installation, pre-configured settings and customizable options that help Karmak customers use their business systems more efficiently, the company says.

“Our customers expect high-quality software solutions that contain the most up-to-date features,” says Bill Healy, president and chief executive officer of Carlinville, Ill.-based Karmak. “By working with Microsoft, we feel confident that Legend Access will provide users of Windows Vista with enhanced reliability, security and compatibility.”

Karmak is a provider of computer systems and business management systems in the heavy-duty truck industry. The company supplies software applications to fleets; retailers that sell and service trucks, tractors and trailers; and retail and wholesale businesses that distribute parts.

“Microsoft is pleased that Karmak has earned the Certified for Windows Vista software logo for its Legend Access application,” says Dave Wascha, director of partner marketing for Windows Client at Microsoft Corp. “By certifying its applications, Karmak is letting its customers know that its product has met explicit standards of reliability and quality, and has been tested and proved to deliver a superior experience with a PC running Windows Vista.”
