Maptuit Corp. announced Thursday, Sept. 6, that KLLM Transport Services will be deploying FleetNav Directions throughout its national fleet of 1,400 trucks, providing its drivers with truck-to-dock turn-by-turn directions. FleetNav Directions is a subscription-based solution designed to integrate with all leading fleet management and mobile communications systems to provide a comprehensive transportation optimization solution.

Maptuit says FleetNav’s highly sophisticated routing technology ensures driver safety, improves fleet efficiencies, provides greater fuel savings and improves overall customer satisfaction. KLLM says it also expects to upgrade to Maptuit NaviGo, designed as a truck-specific real-time hybrid navigation solution that offers spoken turn-by-turn directions.

“At KLLM, we are a driver-focused company,” says K. William Grothe Jr., president and chief executive officer of Richland, Miss.-based KLLM. “We understand that these professionals are key contributors to our company’s success, and we remain committed to supporting them accordingly. It is our desire to provide our drivers and managers with all of the tools necessary to perform their jobs efficiently and safely. Maptuit delivers on these promises by providing our drivers with the industry’s most accurate truck routing available.”

“We are in the business of providing our customers with real-time information that affects their business and their bottom line,” says Jeff Papows, president and CEO of Burlington, Mass.-based Maptuit. “With the only dynamic road network, our customers take real advantage of our expertise. As recently as the bridge collapse in Minnesota or as far back as Hurricanes Rita and Katrina on the Gulf Coast, we were able to shut down entire highways and roadways and re-route our customer’s trucks around those affected areas. Being able to do this in real time makes Maptuit the solution for today’s trucking needs and gives our customers a competitive edge. We are happy to have KLLM join Maptuit and the growing community of drivers.”
