The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced that the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program compliance date has been delayed until April 15, 2009.

The delay reflects a postponement of the Sept. 25 compliance date set in the final rule. Despite the delay, workers still are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible.
