Defense Supply Center Richmond – an aviation equipment vendor to the U.S. government – recently honored Kinedyne Corp., a provider of cargo control products, for its role as a top supplier. It is the 11th consecutive year Kinedyne has been recognized by DSCR for performance excellence.

Kinedyne received a gold medal at DSCR’s recent business conference from Air Force Brig. Gen. Andrew Busch, commander of the center, for meeting and surpassing quality and delivery requirements. These performance standards are set by the Defense Logistics Agency, the largest combat support group for the Department of Defense. Contractors must score 100 on the award evaluation system to be eligible for gold medal recognition.

“Our products are built to keep cargo secure and safe – whether for transportation in a combat zone or in more conventional shipping environments,” says James Klausmann II, executive vice president of Branchburg, N.J.-based Kinedyne. “Kinedyne manufactures top-of-the-line cargo control products designed to stand up to the most demanding conditions.”

DSCR manages the aviation supply chain as the primary source for more than 1.2 million repair parts and operating items. DSCR supports the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines, but also supports government agencies such as the U.S. Postal Service, NASA, the U.S. Forestry Service and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
