Hunter Engineering updates technician training brochure

Hunter Engineering Co. says it has updated the literature included in its brochure that illustrates the benefits of the company’s training for technicians to service today’s vehicles. Hunter Engineering says it annually trains thousands of undercar service technicians at training centers located throughout the country.

Hunter Engineering has more than 30 regional training facilities, including its research and training center headquarters in St. Louis. Each regional facility has a full-time ASE-certified instructor and multiple training service bays that are fully equipped with the latest technology in undercar service equipment, the company says.

Hunter Engineering says its training classes maintain a low student-to-teacher ratio; fewer than 10 students per class is the norm, which allows for interactive discussions and more time for students to work one-on-one with an instructor. The smaller class size also provides more opportunity for hands-on experience, according to the company, and classroom time is controlled so that each student has an opportunity to apply his or her skills in a real-world environment.

Hunter Engineering offers alignment courses for entry-level, mid-level and experienced technicians. Course topics include passenger-car, light-truck, SUV and heavy-duty truck and trailer alignment service. Other undercar training courses educate technicians in advanced wheel balancing, vibration diagnosis, tire changing and brake machining procedures. Special courses may be created upon request, and field seminars are common.
