DHS postpones effective date for updated immigration reporting form

The Department of Homeland Security postponed until April 3 the effective date of new regulations requiring employers to begin using an updated I-9 immigration reporting form and procedures.

The department, which is reviewing the new regulations, said employers in the meantime should continue to use the current version of I-9.
