TMW Systems, a provider of software for the transportation industry, announced Friday, March 13, the launch of a new series of free online webinars designed for customers of its Asset Maintenance software products. In a compact 45-60 minute seminar, attendees can re-acquaint themselves with core components and extended modules for the software they use regularly and gain exposure to new capabilities, according to the Cleveland-based company.

TMW Systems says it added the webinars to augment its TMW University (TMWU) program of classroom-based software education; while the free webinar sessions will continue to focus on product overviews, the popularity of these online offerings has led to plans to offer modified classroom content from TMWU online in longer formats as well. Similar sessions will be available soon for TMW’s Optimization software, including IDSC ExpertFuel, IDSC Netwise and IDSC TripAlert, covering topics such as optimal fuel purchasing and bid processing.

TMW says it also is extending its online classes to include content from some of its partners; these sessions are designed to introduce customers to integrated solutions for cost containment and improved profitability. For senior management training, TMW has teamed with the Trincon Group to provide sessions targeting bulk and truckload carriers. Trincon, based in Columbus, Ohio, holds regularly scheduled online classes to help foster better management practices, especially regarding cost-based activity accounting and centralized management for operational efficiencies.

As part of its enhanced relationship with EBE Technologies, TMW says it also will host a short webinar introducing Integrated Data Interchange from EBE, a product platform designed to reduce man-hours associated with updating shipper and freight payment websites with transactional data. EBE, based in Moline, Ill., is the developer of Ships, a system of workflow and document management solutions tailored for trucking companies and brokers.
