Phillips says its line of coiled air gladhand assemblies helps reduce wear and tear on gladhands through coupling and uncoupling, lowering the potential of loose air brake connections and accidental uncoupling.
According to the company, the gladhands are assembled to the air coils, where thread seal is used along with proper torque, to facilitate a solid connection.
