YRC enhances online offerings

YRC Regional Transportation Inc. announced the launch of an enhanced new website, yrcregional.com, replacing two of its former regional sites, usfc.com and usfnet.com. YRC also announced the launch of a new Service Day Calculator that can be accessed through the my.yrc.com customer website.

With just the click of a tab on the yrcregional.com home page, customers can access applications and information across the three YRC Worldwide regional companies — Reddaway, Holland and New Penn — to track shipments, access service maps, obtain shipping forms, view transit times and more, according to the company.

“While yrcregional.com has an updated look and feel, its core functionality maintains a very user-friendly interface that supports the strengths of our regional companies, including more next-day delivery options, high reliability and claim-free handling,” says Greg Reid, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of YRC Worldwide, based in Overland Park, Kan. “These online enhancements bring our regional services closer together, making it easier for customers to find us and leverage our expertise in next-day, second-day and time-sensitive shipments.”

According to the company, the most notable new functionality is the ability for customers to track multiple shipments from a common home page using PRO numbers from Holland, Reddaway and New Penn; in addition, by clicking on the Customer Service tab on the home page, customers can log in to their secure Holland, Reddaway or New Penn accounts to obtain personalized rate quotations, create bills of lading, view shipment tracking reports, view shipping documents and more using their existing credentials for either usfnet.com and newpenn.com. New customers also can setup new secure, online accounts by completing the appropriate registration form for instant access.

“Today’s launch of yrcregional.com is an additional step toward making all of the customer support tools and information we deploy equally comprehensive,” Reid says.

The online Service Day Calculator tool at my.yrc.com — ideal for retailers, but available to any shipper or consignee — helps customers determine when goods need to be available for pick up, to have shipments arrive at the destination precisely when needed.

Customers can access the Service Day Calculator by logging into my.yrc.com; new customers simply need to register for a login if they do not currently have one. Once in the application, service day results are displayed in a matrix that includes transit days and all service options: Standard Ground, Fastest Ground, and Expedited Precision. From the matrix options, customers can access links to online rate quotes and bills of lading to book and ship online.
