Refrigerated carrier C.R. England recently was honored by Thermo King, a business of Ingersoll Rand, for its dedication to environmental responsibility. The Salt Lake City-based company received the Thermo King “Energy Efficiency Leader Award” in recognition of its commitment to energy and operational efficiency.

Thermo King says that while trucking companies nationwide grapple with high fuel costs, increased regulations and other challenges, C.R. England has distinguished itself with its commitment to sustainability and innovation. Using energy and operationally-efficient solutions, C.R. England expects to lower fuel costs by 40 percent in the coming months, according to Thermo King.

In addition, the company increased operational efficiency by standardizing its maintenance program, which leaders anticipate will reduce maintenance costs by $250,000 annually.
