FleetPride Inc., an independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, announced that it has acquired the assets of two New Mexico operations from Page Brake, including locations in Albuquerque and Aztec. FleetPride also announced that it has acquired the assets of two Page Brake locations in Missouri, previously operating under the name of Gooch Brake & Equipment Co.; the acquisition includes locations in Kansas City and Joplin.

FleetPride currently is operating in Albuquerque and has combined its existing operations into the newly acquired facility, while the Aztec acquisition represents a new market for FleetPride. Employment offers were extended to all employees at both locations. “We are proud to invite the Page Brake employees into the FleetPride family,” says W.M. McGee, FleetPride president and chief executive officer.

Lee Stockseth, chief operating officer, says supporting New Mexico’s diverse economy has proven successful for FleetPride. “Expanding our operations in Albuquerque provides us with a good opportunity to strengthen our presence in this vibrant marketplace,” Stockseth says. “Aztec offers a strong complement to our existing operations in Farmington, New Mexico. Both locations will work in tandem to better serve local, regional and national customers in and around a 150-mile radius of San Juan County.”

FleetPride first entered the Joplin market in November 2010, and the latest acquisition is set to complement the company’s existing operations. “We now have a substantial parts and drive-in service operation,” Stockseth says. “FleetPride’s ability to quickly source hard-to-find parts and extensive product inventory will help us earn additional business from Joplin’s heavy-duty truck industry.”

The Kansas City acquisition represents FleetPride’s second expansion into the market. “We feel the two locations in this market allow us to more effectively service our diverse customer base,” Stockseth says.

Employment offers were extended to all employees at both former Gooch locations. “We are proud to invite the Gooch Brake employees into the FleetPride family,” McGee says.
