ALK Technologies Inc. announced that for the second consecutive year, Paul Will, vice chairman, president and chief operating officer of the Celadon Group, will deliver the keynote address at the 2011 ALK Transportation Technology Summit. In making a return visit, Will brings a unique perspective on the new industry challenges and opportunities to surface “one year later.”

Now in its seventh year, the 2011 ALK Transportation Technology Summit is an annual event that brings together senior transportation executives and industry thought leaders to highlight cutting-edge technology trends and to share a strategic vision for opportunity and business success.

This year’s event will be held May 3-5 in Princeton, N.J. The three-day event includes a May 3 golf outing at the Tournament Players Club-Jasna Polana in Princeton. A dinner reception on the Princeton University campus will be held on the evening of May 4.

The conference, themed “Driving Cost Control and Efficiency Through Technology Innovation,” will provide transportation, logistics and manufacturing companies with valuable guidance on how to increase operational efficiency in this recovering economy. Topics include driver performance and operating cost management, safety and Compliance, Safety and Accountability compliance automation, supply chain efficiency and innovations in wireless technology and in-cab solutions.

Dr. Alain Kornhauser, ALK Technologies’ founder and chairman, will lead the program. Kornhauser is a professor of operations research and financial engineering, as well as the director of the Transportation Program at Princeton University. He is a pioneer in GPS navigation and routing technology for consumers, mobile professionals and commercial vehicle fleets.

Will has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance. He is a certified public accountant and serves on the board of Celadon – primarily a longhaul truckload carrier – as well as the American Trucking Associations’ National Accounting and Finance Council and the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce.
