Trojan Battery Co., a manufacturer of deep cycle batteries, announced a distribution agreement with UK Batteries intended to expand Trojan’s presence in the region. As Trojan’s authorized master distributor, UK Batteries will be responsible for overseeing the distribution and servicing of Trojan products in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
“Trojan’s strategic alliance with UK Batteries enables us to provide localized, dedicated sales and technical support services,” says David Godber, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Trojan Battery. “By expanding our distribution in the U.K., Trojan can readily meet the demands of the region’s fast-growing market segments, including golf, renewable energy, floor machine and aerial work platforms.”
UK Batteries will offer Trojan’s line of deep cycle flooded, AGM and gel batteries. The company will maintain a stock of Trojan battery models, providing product availability to meet immediate customer needs. UK Batteries also offers rapid delivery by managing its own transport operation across the U.K. and provides a battery recycling program that enables customers to trade-in old batteries for discounts on replacements.
“The selection of UK Batteries as the master distributor for the British Isles will enable us to make Trojan products more readily available and allow Trojan to respond faster to customer requests,” says Neil Warren, director of marketing at UK Batteries.
