Three new speakers have been announced for the 2011 AmeriQuest Transportation Industry Symposium, an April 7-8 conference of senior management from best-in-class transportation companies to be held in Orlando, Fla. Economist Dan North, payments technology expert Henry Ijams and Gen. Barry McCaffrey, USA (Ret.), a global business analyst, will share their knowledge and experience with the gathering of leaders from private fleets, truck leasing companies, truckload carriers and transportation supply chain companies. The roster of speakers joins media commentator Dr. James Canton, who serves as keynote speaker at the event.

North is a top economist with Euler Hermes ACI. His presentation will provide in-depth commentary on the factors that began and ended the recession. He also will share economic predictions, examine the government’s response to inflation risks and give his long-term view of the global economy.

Ijams, managing director and founder of PayStream Advisors, is a leader in the financial automation and payments industry and a frequent conference speaker. Declaring that the future of accounts payable is paperless, he will present a session entitled “Uncovering the ePayables Opportunity in Your AP Operation.”

McCaffrey, a highly decorated and accomplished four-star general upon retirement from the military, has served as an adviser to the U.S. government. Today he provides strategic, analytic and advisory services to businesses, nonprofits and governments. He will share his unflinching assessment of the world’s trouble spots, matters of national security and global risk.

The Symposium agenda also includes industry updates and the annual industry panel. The AmeriQuest Transportation Industry Symposium takes place at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes.
