HRsmart, provider of a Software-as-a-Service talent management solution, announced its inclusion as one of a 15-company delegation from the United States that traveled to Saudi Arabia for a trade mission conducted with local businesses about information and communication technologies. The U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service, a trade promotion arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration that has professionals in more than 80 countries, hosted the event.

Other companies invited to attend included Yahoo! Chatsworth Products, Cohu, Emcore, Gillani, Tyco Electronics Subsea Communications, Boeing, Mechdyne, Nexgen Wireless, Polaris Wireless, SatWays, Team Askin Technolgies, Texas Memory Systems and Trilogy Communications.

Suresh Kumar, assistant secretary for trade promotion and director general of USFCS, says the mission would continue to strengthen bilateral commercial relationship with Saudi Arabia, which according to Amer Kayani, minister counselor for commercial affairs at the Embassy of the United States of America, Riyadh, is about $63 billion.

“These trade missions have been key drivers to accomplish global expansion plans of many companies,” says Mark Hamdan, HRsmart chief executive officer. “Based on the quality and quantity of the meetings held in Saudi Arabia, we are certain that HRsmart’s participation is going to reflect in a significant increase of our commercial activity in the region.”
