AuraPortal, a provider of business process management, announced that the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works in the state of Minas Gerais (Brazil) is implementing an integrated public works system built on AuraPortal’s BPMS Management Platform for the management of public works projects, from developing site plans to managing their supply chain processes.

Minas Gerais is the fourth largest state in Brazil, covering an area similar to the size of France, situated in the southeast of the country. It has 21 million inhabitants, making it the second most populated state, and the main industrial hub of the whole country.

Aiming to strengthen the governance and transparency in the state of Minas Gerais, the Ministry of Planning and Management along with the Ministry of Public Works decided to sponsor the development of a public works management system. To launch this project, AuraPortal’s Brazilian partner, Core Synesis, has developed the IPWS solution based on AuraPortal’s BPMS technology.
