Jacobs Vehicle Systems names Burton VP/global operations

Jacobs Vehicle Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Danaher Corp., announced the appointment of Keith Burton as vice president of global operations. Burton will play a central role in leading the efforts of operations supply management for the North America and China markets.

Burton joined Danaher in April and since has completed an extensive immersion process to understand the Danaher Business System processes and tools. Prior to joining JVS, Keith spent five years as general manager and vice president of manufacturing for HON/HNI, managing two manufacturing facilities in Iowa and Kentucky.

Prior to HON/HNI, Burton held various positions in the heavy truck and automotive industry. As director of operations for SDST, he led the startup for Diesel Fuel Injectors, a joint venture between International and Siemens. Prior to SDST, he was employed for 17 years at Detroit Diesel in various roles of increasing responsibilities.

Burton also has been a strong advocate and driver of lean practices; he’s earned certifications in Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma Black Belt.
