Master Fleet, LLC has announced expansion into a nationwide, one-call emergency roadside assistance service for semi-tractors, trailers and straight trucks that is available around the clock, seven-days-a-week through its toll-free number, 1-888-370-1780.
Having provided this service to many of its existing shop customers for over 20 years, and some of the largest fleets in the nation, Master Fleet is now offering the expanded service to all fleets nationwide through the Fleet Roadside Assistance brand.
Master Fleet’s Fleet Roadside Assistance features coverage options for drivers and fleet managers that can be tailored to best suit individual business needs, according to Larry Chaplin, Master Fleet’s president.
“Our customers have been asking that we expand our roadside assistance service so they can access Master Fleet’s expertise and service throughout the country,” Chaplin said. “As we’ve continued to add depth to our technician and customer service teams, it seemed like the right time to expand fully into a national roadside assistance program.”
Chaplin said he’s particularly pleased Master Fleet is able to offer Fleet Roadside Assistance with no monthly, yearly or start-up fees. The new program also has several value-added components for drivers and fleet managers, including the fact that vendor repair invoices are not marked up by Master Fleet and that customers receive only one invoice – the one from Master Fleet – per breakdown, regardless of how many vendors are required to complete the work. “Our preferred vendors know they need to provide excellent, fast and cost effective service to stay in our proprietary network,” Chaplin said.
Managed by veterans of one of the nation’s largest fleets, Fleet Roadside Assistance’s past success stems from three main priorities: get the driver, truck and load back on the road as fast as possible; ensure quality repairs; and obtain the lowest possible cost for the fleet.
Chaplin noted another key distinction of Master Fleet’s new 24/7 program is that drivers are never charged if Master Fleet’s experienced technicians can suggest self-help solutions to a driver to assist them in getting back on the road on their own. To underscore this helpful feature, Chaplin said that a Master Fleet technician is always available to talk with a driver as part of the around-the-clock service.
“Our customers have suggested that having a technician available at all times would be a huge plus for them, so that’s something we’re offering at no charge as part of the program,” Chaplin said.
