With the recent opening of the Salt Lake Used Truck Center in the West Valley, Paccar Financial says it now has national coverage with its third location, joining centers in Hickory Hills, Ill., and Spartanburg, S.C. “Salt Lake City is an ideal location for our dealers and customers,” says Jason Skoog, PFC’s director of operations. “It’s a major transportation hub and a great place to sell high-quality Paccar products.”

The grand opening festivities, which included a ribbon-cutting with Todd Hubbard, Paccar Financial’s president, was followed with an auction at the facility the day after. “It was a great success,” says Skoog. “We sold 88 high-quality Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.”

According to Skoog, more than 28,000 used Kenworths and Peterbilts have been sold by PFC since 2000. “We’re a one-stop used truck center with great financing packages,” he says. Salt Lake Used Truck Center currently has a used truck financing program going on until the end of the year that offers trucks with payments as low as $1,329 a month with 10 percent down. The program comes with a 12-month/100,000 mile warranty worth more than $3,000.

Skoog says the used truck market is still robust, and late model low-mileage Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks sell quickly. “But we have a constant source of incoming used truck inventory through trucks coming off lease and from trade packages,” he says. “This enables us to know in advance what will be available. Therefore, we can keep truck buyers in the loop as to what will be for sale in the near future.”

To make it easier to find the right Kenworth or Peterbilt, customers can go to PFC’s website at www.pacleasetrucksales.com, click on the used truck availability icon and search by truck model, mileage, engine and other specs to locate the vehicle that satisfies their needs.

As with other PFC Used Truck Centers, the new Salt Lake location features service bays and a sales office. “Before any truck goes on our lot for retail sale, we have a thorough inspection process to ensure each vehicle is ready to perform,” says Skoog. “Our inspection process helps ensure the second owner of that vehicle will be as pleased as the original owner.”
