Randall-Reilly recently introduced its Truck Stop Coupons app on the Android platform. The free app, developed in conjunction with Salebug.com and ProMiles, already is in use daily by truckers with iPhones and Blackberries. Also new to the app are accurate real-time diesel fuel prices for 5,000-plus truckstop locations.

Many truckers also use the app as a truckstop directory powered by www.Truckstopguide.com, which is updated daily. The app provides a mapped route and directions to any of the 5,000 truckstop locations. Truckers also can use the app to locate truckstop services, from finding a Pegasus Transflo scanning location to where they can buy a particular brand of oil.

Using the app, truckers and other motorists also can locate and use coupons from truckstops across the country. Truckstops can update an unlimited number of coupons daily on the app’s parent site www.TruckStopCoupons.com.

“We initially launched the app to simply help truckstops communicate specials which were available to truckers as they traveled across the country,” says Robert Lake, Randall-Reilly senior vice president, acquisitions/ business development. “Now the app has become a daily business tool to help make truckers’ lives on the road easier.”

Another benefit of the app is that it enables fleets to communicate to their drivers the truckstops that are in their preferred fueling network, a feature that eliminates the hassle and expense of printing fuel directories that quickly become dated. Increased utilization of a negotiated fuel network means thousands of dollars to a trucking company’s bottom line.

The app is downloadable for free in the Android Marketplace at http://market.android.com/details?id=com.salebug.truckstop, through Apple iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/truck-stop-coupons/id362413088?mt=8 and in the BlackBerry App World Store at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/13697.
