Yokohama Tire Corp. has announced it will implement a price increase of up to 8 percent on all of its light and medium commercial truck tires in the United States, effective Oct. 1. There also will be in-line adjustments that will be announced at a later date.

“Several factors make the increase necessary, unfortunately,” says Rick Phillips, Yokohama director of commercial sales. “The costs of raw materials, manufacturing and transportation remain at highly elevated levels. These, regrettably, have to be reflected in our product pricing. Notwithstanding, Yokohama remains steadfast in bringing the best commercial tires to market at competitive prices using our operational efficiencies and latest technology.”
