NASSTRAC, an industry association that provides education, advocacy and provider relations to transportation and supply chain professionals involved in all modes of transportation, will host a regional meeting in Jacksonville, Fla. on Tues., Oct. 4, at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk from 4:45 to 7 p.m. ET.

The meeting, intended for transportation and supply chain decision-makers, will feature an advocacy update and a panel discussion featuring local shippers who will share their experiences and comment on the latest industry issues. Brian Everett, ABC, executive director of NASSTRAC, will moderate the discussion. Those attending also will have time to network with other shippers, third-party logistics companies and carriers attending.

This meeting comes on the heels of the Washington D.C. NASSTRAC Advocacy Committee “Fly-in,” where association leaders and other shippers met with members of Congress and their aides to represent the association in opposing what it deems to be burdensome regulation in transportation such as the potential changes to driver hours of service and truck size and weight limitations.
