Meritor names Clark director, global brand management and marketing

Meritor Inc. announced the appointment of John Clark as director of global brand management and marketing, responsible for directing the company’s worldwide branding efforts, as well as the strategic direction and market execution for the company’s Truck, Industrial and Aftermarket & Trailer business segments’ marketing communications activities in North and South America, including media and public relations, advertising, shows and exhibits, sales collateral and social media communications.

Clark joins Meritor after serving as director of communications and brand management at Roush Performance Products Inc. in Plymouth, Mich., where he led the company’s communications, social media and lifestyle marketing programs. He joined Roush in 2006. Previously, Clark served as president of RaceFan Inc. from 2005 to 2006. At Binghamton, N.Y.-based RaceFan, a motorsports marketing and news distribution company, he was responsible for all profit and loss activities as well as management of staff and offices in India, Alabama, Missouri, Nebraska, New York and North Carolina.

From 1988 to 2004, he held marketing communications management positions at several companies, including the American Speed Association, Clear Channel Communications and Embee Inc.
