ALK Technologies forms Enterprise Solutions group

ALK Technologies, a provider of geologistics and navigation software, announced the formation of a new group, Enterprise Solutions, comprised of its PC Miler, CoPilot Truck and CoPilot Live Professional product lines plus supporting map data, software tools and professional services.

ALK’s Enterprise Solutions Group is responsible for sales, business development, marketing, product management and support for all products and services sold worldwide to transportation and logistics companies. The team is dedicated to growing ALK’s global footprint by delivering innovaive mapping, routing, navigation and other geologistics solutions and serving the transportation, logistics and mobile enterprise markets.

Leading the Enterprise Solutions Group is Michael Kornhauser, senior vice president, who reports directly to Barry Glick, chief executive officer of ALK Technologies. Executives also appointed to the newly formed team are Dan Popkin, vice president of business development, worldwide; Dan Titus, vice president of business development, North America; and Craig Fiander, vice president of marketing, North America. Chris Quin and Klaus Kremer lead business development and marketing for the Europe, Middle East and Africa markets.

“This new organization, responsible for delivering to our customers and partners all of ALK’s extensive geologistics-focused technologies, enables us to meet the growing needs of the global transportation, logistics and mobile enterprise markets for fully integrated transportation-specific routing, mapping and navigation,” Glick says. “The appointment of a leadership team with extensive industry and technology backgrounds is indicative of the importance we place on the group’s mission.”

In addition to the creation of the Enterprise Solutions Group, ALK simultaneously has formed a Consumer Products group responsible for the CoPilot Live GPS navigation apps available for iOS, Android and Windows Mobile platforms; David Quin will lead this global group from ALK’s London office. In conjunction with ALK’s strategic reorganization, ALK has begun to roll out new corporate branding, including a new logo; ALK’s Website,, now displays the new logo, and the redesign of all corporate materials is under way.

“The consolidated product offerings and market-oriented focus of the Enterprise Solutions Group strongly positions ALK to lead in the fulfillment of growing global demand for more integrated and connected solutions,” Kornhauser says. “By building upon our industry-standard PC Miler product line and fully-featured CoPilot Live navigation solutions, we are creating value and maximizing the opportunities in the marketplace.”

Kornhauser says ALK’s first innovation from the new organization is RouteSync, which converges the back-office route planning of PC Miler with the in-cab execution of CoPilot Live navigation to facilitate operational consistency.
