Travis Body & Trailer Inc. has begun production on its Alumatech model after the company’s acquisition of the assets of Everlite Inc. in February. Everlite’s equipment and machinery has been relocated to Travis’ 17-acre, 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facilities in Houston.
The Travis Alumatech is an aluminum half-round dump with seamless floor and side sheets and is similar to the trailer produced by Everlite but with several redesigned areas, including the nose, subframe, tailgate and draft arm connections. Travis will offer the Alumatech in frameless, quarter-frame, frame-type configurations and straight truck dump bodies.
