Xata Corp., a provider of fleet optimization software, announced that it has added the Motorola Xyboard to its list of Android tablet computers certified to work with the Xata Turnpike fleet management solution, helping fleets of all sizes and owner-operations improve compliance, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.

The Xyboard, Motorola’s next-generation tablet, is lighter and more powerful than its predecessors and is available with both an 8.2-inch and 10.1-inch widescreen HD display. Both models provide the power of dual-core 1.2GHz processors and feature 1GB of RAM, all protected by Motorola’s water-repellent nano-coating designed to resist accidental spills and splashes.

“We’re working hard to ensure that Xata Turnpike is available on the newest, most useful and most popular mobile devices on the market today,” says Christian Schenk, vice president of product marketing for Xata. “We’ve certified a dozen Android devices in just the past year, giving our customers the ultimate in flexibility and choice.”
