FTR Associates has opened registration to its 8th annual Transportation Conference being held Sept. 18-20 in Indianapolis. FTR says the conference will present credible, interesting and thought-provoking opinions from some of the best minds in the transportation industry. The conference will kick off with noted economist William Strauss of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

The 2012 FTR Transportation Conference is focused on freight transportation in North America over the next five years and covers all the surface freight transport modes, bringing together participants from all aspects of freight transportation, connecting the dots between the economy, freight demand, carriers, shippers, government regulators and equipment suppliers. More than speakers and panelists will provide insight.

The conference attracts a wide range of attendees, including personnel from railroads, truck fleets, shippers, truck and trailer manufacturers and suppliers, rail and truck equipment lessors, intermodal marketing companies, logistics companies and 3PLs, rail car manufacturers and suppliers, banks, finance companies and others with an interest in freight forecasting.

To register for the conference and to view a full agenda including a detailed description of each session, go to www.ftrconference.com. Early-bird registration with discounted costs will be available through June 30.
