Jacobs Vehicle Systems, a supplier of commercial vehicle heavy-duty diesel engine retarding and valve actuation systems, announced the appointment of Thomas Howell as director of new technology, where he will play a key role in leading Jacobs’ efforts in developing new technologies that will serve the global market.
Howell brings a wide range of technical and commercial experience. Prior to joining Jacobs, Howell spent 15 years at Ricardo, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility, with his latest position being chief engineer, engines, responsible for business development, technical leadership and commercial delivery for projects ranging from clean sheet engine design to a waste heat recovery demonstrator.
