Nominations now are being accepted for the Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year, which will be presented to a remanufacturer who has demonstrated leadership and vision in the industry. A committee will make the selection from among those nominated. Nominations may be directed to the attention of Bill Gager, president of the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association.
The winner of the Heavy Duty Remanufacturer of the Year Award will join past winners that include Precision Rebuilders, St. Clair, Mo.; Weller Truck Parts, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Meritor, Plainfield, Ind.; Camerota Truck Parts, Enfield, Conn.; and Transaxle, Cinnaminson, N.J.
“Seven years ago, the Heavy Duty Remanufacturing Group was formed to further the interests of the heavy-duty remanufacturer members of APRA,” Gager says. “Both APRA and HDRG have benefited from numerous hard-working individuals who have helped in the creation of this group, and we are more than pleased to be able to recognize one of them at our luncheon in 2013.”
The HDRG Summit takes place before the opening of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week, which will be Jan. 21-24, 2013, at The Mirage Hotel. The registration fee for the summit will include admittance to the awards luncheon.
“We hope all heavy-duty remanufacturers will show their support of the HDRG and understand the importance the heavy-duty commercial vehicle business plays in the total remanufacturing marketplace,” Gager says.
