Old Dominion Freight Line on Monday, July 7, announced its new Web-based shipment tracker. The Shipping Dashboard is designed to allow registered customers to improve performance by monitoring the status of recent shipments through their “ODFL4Me” personal page on Old Dominion’s website.

The less-than-truckload company says the Shipping Dashboard shows inbound, outbound and delivered shipment activity from the last 3 to 14 days of shipments, and includes state-of-the-art technical features such as mouse-over/pop-up shipment status details, personalized sorting options and interactive updates.

“Our trucking professionals require an effective way to monitor their shipments,” says Wayne Capwell, director of e-commerce applications for Thomasville, N.C.-based Old Dominion. “With the Shipping Dashboard, we provide a system that gives them the visibility they need to remain confidently in control.”

Additional Shipping Dashboard features, according to ODFL, include:

  • Account list of companies and locations associated with the User ID;
  • Trace Shipment – allows the user to enter a Pro number and view the shipment status without having to leave the Dashboard;
  • Shipment details – P.O. number, bill of lading number, shipper, consignee, origin, destination, pieces, weight, charges, status, estimated or delivered date; and
  • Links to available shipment documents.
