The repositioned bracket design provides clearance for container chassis landing gear, addressing a longstanding challenge for intermodal carriers who previously couldn't use aerodynamic fairings.

FlowBelow Aero says its Tractor AeroKit with Flex Fairing now offers universal bracketry designed to fit all makes and models of sleeper cabs and day cabs. The enhanced, reengineered mounting system also accommodates intermodal chassis applications, expanding FlowBelow's addressable market to include carriers previously unable to use aerodynamic fairings due to landing gear equipment conflicts unique to intermodal trailers.

Since its launch in October 2024, the Tractor AeroKit with Flex Fairing has demonstrated exceptional durability in real-world conditions while maintaining proven fuel savings of $1.26 per mile, or 3.16 gallons saved for every 1,000 miles driven.

"The universal bracketry represents a significant engineering advancement that opens new opportunities for fleets across diverse applications," said Josh Butler, president and chief technology officer of FlowBelow. "We've eliminated the compatibility barriers that previously prevented certain carriers from accessing our fuel-saving technology."

Key Features of Universal Bracketry Design

Comprehensive Compatibility: The re-engineered mounting system accommodates all Class 8 truck manufacturers and configurations, eliminating the need for application-specific brackets that limited previous installations.

Intermodal Application Ready: The repositioned bracket design provides clearance for container chassis landing gear, addressing a longstanding challenge for intermodal carriers who previously couldn't use aerodynamic fairings.

Enhanced Durability: All-aluminum construction resists corrosion while remaining lighter than steel alternatives. The 360-degree spring-loaded rear hanger shoulder joint allows multidirectional flexibility to withstand road hazards.

Proven Field Performance: Since launch, the AeroKit with Flex Fairing has demonstrated exceptional reliability across millions of miles of testing with minimal damage reports.

The universal bracketry works in conjunction with FlowBelow's TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) Flex Fairing material, which bends and returns to its original shape when impacted. This automotive-grade material, similar to that used in vehicle bumpers, provides significantly greater flexibility than traditional TPO compounds.
