Tailwind Management Systems, a provider of transportation software, announced a partnership with Oceanwide to offer an electronic manifesting solution to its trucking company clients. Using Oceanwide’s E-Manifest technology, Tailwind clients can transmit electronic manifest data to all U.S. Customs border crossing offices for truck shipments that are inbound to the United States.
U.S. Customs officials have said their A.C.E. e-manifesting program soon will become mandatory. E-Manifest technology will enable Tailwind clients to be approved quickly for compliance, the company says. Tailwind clients will save time by entering E-Manifest data only once into Tailwind’s Carrier Management System. Oceanwide’s software will edit the manifest data and then transmit it automatically to U.S. Customs, says Keith Retallack, business manager of Tailwind.
