AT&T and TeleNav announced the expansion of TeleNav Track from AT&T, a GPS-enabled mobile resource management (MRM) service for mobile business customers. AT&T will now offer TeleNav Track LITE to help businesses improve their field service, delivery or sales operations through real-time visibility of employee locations.

TeleNav Track LITE from AT&T is a tracking service that provides real-time visibility of field employee locations to improve dispatch operations and enhance customer service. It is a Web-based MRM solution that does not require software or GPS on the mobile device. The service works on the AT&T wireless network running on virtually all AT&T mobile devices, laptop cards and wireless equipped notebooks.

With TeleNav Track LITE from AT&T, business managers can monitor their mobile workforce and resources with the ability to identify their current location on a map, even when inside buildings, the company says. The tracking feature is always on and cannot be disabled on the device, providing companies with a constant view into the location of all mobile resources.

“By expanding AT&T’s TeleNav Track portfolio, we’re able to provide customers of all sizes with the ability to leverage mobile resource management solutions to gain a competitive advantage,” said Igor Glubochansky, director, industry solutions, AT&T Business Solutions.

AT&T continues to expand its portfolio of industry-specific Location-Based mobile business applications. Working with leading application providers across several vertical industries, AT&T says it provides end-to-end services from a single source with a single bill, backed up by mobility applications consulting and enterprise-grade support.
