Class 8 Peterbilts are now available with extended coverage plans for Cummins engines. There are three optional plans, one for over-the-road customers and two for vocational customers.
The five-year or 500,000-mile protection plan for over-the-road customers provides parts-and-labor coverage on components of the Cummins ISM, N14E+, ISX and Signature engines including engine block, cylinder head casting, crankshaft, camshaft and intake manifold. Unscheduled maintenance costs for fuel injectors, fuel pump, water pump, turbocharger and air compressor are also covered for three years or 300,000 miles.
The five-year or 150,000-mile coverage plan and the seven-year or 250,000-mile coverage plans for vocational customers cover parts and labor costs for all Cummins ISL, ISM and N14E+ engines except maintenance components, which include fuel injectors, fuel pump, water pump, turbocharger and air compressor.
All coverage plans are offered with Peterbilt models 387, 385, 379, 378, 362, 357 and 320 and must be purchased within six months of purchasing the vehicle.
