Dana introduces the Dana Spicer E-1462I Integral Arm steer axle to replace the E-1460I 89-mm-drop, standard-track steer axle, the company says. The new axle features a patent-pending kingpin that includes the use of two drawkeys with spring washer retention. A sealed thrust bearing keeps lubricants in and contaminants out.
The axle also features wheel bearing adjustment hardware available with either fine- or extra-fine thread for greater product customization, and an ABS sensor wire or hydraulic hose attachment point on top of the knuckle and stop-bolt assembly for greater turn angle adjustment range, the company says.
