Jost International, a manufacturer of fifth wheels and landing gear assemblies, is traveling the country to demonstrate their technology to fleets, dealers and owner-operators.
The tour will attempt to show the ease of maintenance of the Jost fifth wheel through interactive demonstrations. At each stop, visitors can compete in a national “fastest hands” competition by completing a mock rebuild of the locking mechanism.
Because the company is approaching the mark of 100,000 Jost wheels manufactured at its facility in Greeneville, Tenn., it also will be conducting a search along the tour to locate the fifth wheel that has accumulated the most miles.
The winners of both contests will receive $500 gift certificates and will be announced during the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.
