Con-way Freight has announced that Israel Hernandez has been named sales manager for Con-way Mexico, its transportation and logistics company in Mexico. Hernandez will be responsible for sales planning, administration and management and will oversee the company’s sales operations at its six logistics centers in Mexico.
Hernandez has nearly a decade of experience in the U.S.-Mexico trans-border freight and logistics industry, having worked in sales, sales management, operations and project implementation positions for several leading organizations. He joined the Con-way organization in November 2005 as an account executive in Guadalajara.
Hernandez will be based at Con-way Mexico’s general office in Monterrey and report to Jose Antonio Gonzalez, managing director for Con-way Mexico. “Israel knows our customers’ needs and the sales process in the markets we serve,” Gonzalez says. “His experience and proven capabilities will contribute significantly to our continued growth.”
