Schneider National has been honored with a Supply Chain All-Star award from ShopKo, a $2.2 billon retailer of goods and services. For the past five years, ShopKo has presented the award annually to companies that demonstrate exceptional performance, service innovation and leadership. Schneider was among four companies recognized at ShopKo’s 2006 Carrier Conference earlier this year.

“We are committed to providing our customers with creative solutions that are designed to meet the most demanding shipping requirements – in ShopKo’s case, intermodal and one-way services,” says Mark Rourke, president of truckload at Green Bay, Wis.-based Schneider National. “ShopKo’s Supply Chain All-Star award reflects Schneider’s ability to help our customers gain a competitive edge in this market. It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts and to know we have made an impact on their success.”

Headquartered in Green Bay, ShopKo has 135 stores located in 13 states throughout the Midwest, Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions. “This prestigious award recognizes the partnership that must exist between us and our transportation suppliers to allow us to exceed customer expectations,” says Dave Mcllheran, director of transportation for ShopKo. “These Supply Chain All-Star award winners have demonstrated an exceptional ability to work with our transportation team and deliver superior performance combined with innovative ideas.”
