J.B. Hunt Transport Services has been named to G.I. Jobs magazine’s “Top 50 Military-Friendly Employers” annual list. J.B. Hunt ranked 11 out of 50 companies across the United States.

“We are honored to be a part of G.I. Jobs’ annual Top 50 list,” says Kirk Thompson, president and chief executive officer for Lowell, Ark.-based J.B. Hunt. “Our company prides itself on hiring military veterans, as well as working with our employees who serve their country in the National Guard and Reserve.”

The G.I. Jobs list is in its fourth year and represents the “best of the best” among companies that have put forth the most effort and experienced the greatest success in hiring military veterans, as well as creating company policies concerning National Guard and Reserve service. About 2,500 firms with annual revenues in excess of $1 billion were surveyed for the list. Only three trucking companies were included in this year’s Top 50, with J.B. Hunt ranking the highest among them.

“We value the experience and leadership our employees with military backgrounds bring to J.B. Hunt,” Thompson says. “Serving our country is extremely honorable, and we will always work hard to allow our employees to do both.”
