PrePass and BestPass announced Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., that they are teaming to offer bypass services to owner-operators and small fleets with less than five trucks at truck weigh stations and toll roads. Details differ where the service is available, according to state law.
Bill Joyce, chief executive officer of BestPass, says trucks could not only receive discounts on applicable toll roads, but also save money in fuel costs by not slowing down or stopping, and having to rev up to highway or interstate speeds.
